Mid July .... Temp is rising

it is currently July 17th ..... 1800 in Iraq


I have been living this Overseas life the best way i can , doing shit I would have never imagined before i joined the army ....


Helicopter recons ???? yeah fucking right I never even flew before bootcamp ... Now im flying over "possible danger areas" hoping nothing happens to the Bird that im in .... Every night thinking the man above for another day with no incidents, waking up and hoping to wake up the next day ...


This is Iraq ..... over 100 degrees by 1000 ,


It is a crime to think of selling water,
if you dont drink water by 1400 you could be a heat casulty
you walk outside, and you sweat ...
you sit in a porta potty taken a shit you sweat ...
every part of your skin that is not covered is tanned badly ...

if your white your tanned a dark red ...
if your any shade of brown you become a dark brown or black

I received a coin ...

For those who are unfamiliar ... a coin is like a medal given to a person for there outstanding work for whatever they were doing ...


I was issued a coin by a Navy Seal for my outstanding work in support to his battalion .... I love my job !!!!!!!!!
